Total Workshop Time: 90 minutes

Pre-requisites: None

Description:

According to a 2023 study, we check our cell phones an average of 144 times a day. Shocking, right?

Well, how about this…

The average user spends 4 hours and 25 minutes on their phones a day.
89% of smartphone users check their phones within 10 minutes of waking up.
56% of Gen Zers report being addicted to their phones.
It takes the brain up to 23 minutes to refocus after a distraction.

So, why does this matter?

Join us to find out.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the impact cell phone usage has on attention.
  • Review the role of dopamine in the formation of technology addiction.
  • Understand basic brain functioning and how it prevents the brain from multi-tasking.
  • Develop strategies for repairing the brain’s focus and avoiding the distraction trap.
