Description:

Why rush or struggle to remember things when you can come to this workshop and begin to strengthen your memory skills so that you can more easily perform complex, thinking tasks. Effortful learning actually changes your brain. In order to master complex content, we first need to successfully retain the new information we learn. In this workshop, we will learn about the importance of self-discipline and persistence during learning. Become expert at memory retrieval by building new connections and capabilities.

Participants will:

  • Learn how repeated retrieval strengthens memory
  • Identify alternatives to rushing
  • Practice and evaluate different active learning strategies
  • Develop a personal plan of action for increasing learning abilities
