Description: This course is designed to give a foundation of knowledge to employees who have responsibilities relating to the purchase of goods and services for the university. Topics that will be covered include: finding the right product at the right price, ethics in purchasing, sources of goods, receipt of goods, and preparation for payment. Attendees will also be given an overview of the laws that must be followed when purchasing on behalf of the university.
