Note: This workshop is capped at 16 participants

Total Workshop Time: 4 Hours

Pre-requisites: None

Description:

According to Carl Jung, "Perception involves all the ways of becoming aware of things, people, happenings, or ideas. Judgment involves all the ways of coming to conclusions about what has been perceived. If people differ systematically in what they perceive and in how they reach conclusions, then it is only reasonable for them to differ correspondingly in their interests, reactions, values, motivations, and skills." To work with our fellow board members effectively requires personal self-awareness as well as an awareness of the preferences of others. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator provides one tool for increasing that awareness. The most widely used personality assessment in the world, the MBTI has proven to be beneficial for building strong teams.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop an understanding of the 4 MBTI dichotomies
  • Develop an awareness of one’s own type as well as the type of others
  • Discuss ways in which type manifests itself in identifiable behaviors
  • Create strategies for working with other team members and customers more effectively
