Description:

Are you interested in exploring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, or new to it at JMU? If so, this is the place to start! Identifying Behaviors that Increase DEI Competency offers participants a framework for skills and behaviors that help to develop competency with DEI practices and attitudes. Practice and mastery of these competencies supports JMU’s goal to be an inclusive community that values the richness of all individuals and perspectives. Participants will also be able to identify areas they would like to know more about and find relevant TD workshops and other resources to support their learning journey.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the practices and attitudes that reflect JMU’s goal to be an inclusive community that values the richness of all individuals and perspectives
  • Identify which behaviors, skills, and competencies you are already using well
  • Identify which behaviors, skills, and competencies you would like to strengthen and where you can find the resources to do so
