The STEM Center hosts two-hour workshops for high school students. These experiences are developed and led by JMU faculty based on their research and interests. Workshops are an interdisciplinary including “Art-Centered STEM” workshops.

We host 4–6 high school groups per academic year. We seek student groups with teachers interested in a collaborative partnership that includes pre-visit planning, active participation during the workshop, and post-visit feedback to ensure meaningful, goal-aligned experiences for students.

Interested teachers should contact the STEM Center coordinator for secondary programs Stacie Mayfield.
