James Kwon is an Industrial Designer and design leader with over 20 years of experience creating consumer products across a diverse range of industries. His career spans both leading design consultancies and in-house design organizations, where he has helped shape products and brand experiences for globally recognized companies including LG, OXO, and Hydro Flask. Combining strategic thinking with a passion for innovation, James has led multidisciplinary teams and developed products that balance user needs, business objectives, and exceptional design execution. His expertise spans product design, brand development, design leadership, and fostering collaborative creative cultures that drive impactful consumer experiences.

James brings expert-level technical skills across the industrial design process, including ideation and industrial design sketching, advanced CAD surfacing and modeling, physical and digital prototyping, design visualization, user research and usability testing for design validation. His deep understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of product development enables him to translate insights into compelling, manufacturable solutions that resonate with consumers and drive business success.

Experience

James Kwon is currently the Associate Director of Industrial Design at Helen of Troy (Home & Outdoor Division), where he leads a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers in developing innovative consumer products for OXO, Hydro Flask, and Osprey. His work focuses on building strong brands through thoughtful design and user-centered innovation.
