Incident(s) Description:
The organization was found responsible for the following behaviors that occurred on 11-4-2024, 11-6-2024, and 11-7-2024: hosting events on Warner Commons after JMU Event Management denied the organization's requests to host event in this space on these dates.
Outcome(s):
Organizational Probation (through the end of the Fall 2025 semester): Outcomes may include suspension or expulsion from JMU and/or removal from all university housing if found responsible, in a future case, for another violation of Noncompliance policy.
Organizational and Leadership Development (complete by the end of the Spring 2025 semester; complete again during the Fall 2025 semester): The President and executive board member responsible for event management must schedule and meet with a staff member in JMU Event Management to review reservation and event request procedures.
Restriction of Organizational Privilege (through the end of the Spring 2025 semester): The university will not approve any reservation requests for Beta Theta Pi for Warner Commons.

Incident(s) Description:
In the course of investigating a report of alleged hazing, it was determined that at an event on 2/9/23 the following behaviors occurred: alcohol provided to underage members; alcohol consumed by underage members; a video was shared of a member being burned with a cigarette by another member (this was determined to be endangerment, but not hazing).
