From the North:

Visitors coming from the North side of Harrisonburg on I-81 Southbound should use EXIT 245, at the top of the ramp turn left onto Port Republic Road, then at the second traffic light turn left onto Forrest Hills Rd. At the top of the hill turn left at the stop sign onto Oak Hill Drive. Oak Hill becomes University Blvd, follow University Blvd. northward to the Convocation Center which will be on your left. Parking is at the JMU Convocation Center. Follow the signs and directions as provided by the on-duty public safety personnel working in that area.

To access designated overflow parking continue past the Convocation Center on University Blvd and turn left into the Carrier Dr. entrance to campus which is located just past the JMU Arboretum. Follow the posted signs to the designated lots on the East Campus or directions as provided by the on-duty public safety personnel working in that area.

From the South:

Take Exit 247A onto Rt. 33 - East Market Street towards Elkton. Continue Eastbound to the second traffic light (in front of Kmart), turn right onto University Blvd. and continue heading south. After crossing Reservoir Street continue south on University Blvd. and follow the posted signs to parking at the JMU Convocation Center, which will be on your right, or follow directions to overflow parking as provided by the on-duty public safety personnel working in that area.

Campus Gates

Traffic flow through the Bluestone section of campus is restricted by gates for service vehicles access only. Please follow the specified directions above to access your designated parking in a safe and timely manner. Bus services are provided throughout the entire campus to accommodate your movement during your visit to JMU.

Parking

Visitors should park in the Convocation Center lots and overflow parking for this event will be directed to the C-11 and C-12 lots (across from the Festival Conference & Student Center). Follow the posted signs to the Convocation Center or directions as provided by the on-duty public safety personnel working in that area.
