Jonathan R. Alger

President Alger is a nationally recognized scholar and speaker on higher education policy.  On July 1, 2012, Alger became president of James Madison University, the sixth since the university’s founding in 1908. Since then, President Alger has led the university on its continued ascent as a leader in higher education. Read in this year’s annual report how Gallup research on JMU alumni revealed that they possess a greater sense of purpose and well being than their peers graduating from other top colleges and universities.
