
Why Can Apply
- Per NSF regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, naturalized citizens, or permanent residents of the United States
- Applicants must be rising sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate students at the start of the REU. (Eligible students may be enrolled as undergraduates at two or four-year institutions)
- Applicants must be willing to commit for the entire 10 week residential summer program
- Students from underrepresented groups and first generation college students are highly encouraged to apply
Application Requirements
Applications for the 5/22/23 to 7/28/23 session will be accepted until 1/31/23.
Before you start the applications form, please make sure you have the following documents/information ready:
- Personal statement describing how the participation in this program will enrich your scientific and professional development as a student
- One copy of unofficial transcripts
- Information for two recommenders willing to provide letters regarding your academic or research performance/potential
Notifications will be made regarding the status of your application in late March/early April.
