Riley M. Hollars is a poet and scholar who holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing from Grace College. She served as head editor of the student literary magazine Inkspot for two years, earning an honorable mention at the 2024 NCTE Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) awards for the 2023-2024 edition, the first year Inkspot was entered for consideration. She is currently earning her MA in English Literature at James Madison University, with a concentration in gender, sexuality, queer and erotic studies. She currently serves as the secretary of the JMU chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, international English honors society and is also a member of Alpha Chi, the national college honors society. In her free time, Riley is often found reading another novel about monstrous women on her kindle, annoying her cat, Ernest, or in the kitchen experimenting with another new recipe. While aiming to eventually pursue a PhD, Riley is devoting the next few years to the publication of her poetry, hoping to glean wisdom, expertise, and inspiration from her work at the Furious Flower Poetry Center.
