Orientation FAQs
A student will recieve an email to their JMU Dukes email account notifying that their Official Aid Offer is available in their MyMadison account. A student can log into their MyMadison, select the Student Tab, click on Student Center, and under the Financials section select View Official Aid Offer.
If a student is offered a grant, this type of aid is automatically accepted on behalf of the student and should require no further action through their MyMadison.
A student can accept any Federal student loans through their MyMadison account. Once a student selects the loan they would like to accept and chooses submit, they are prompted to complete Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) on www.studentaid.gov.
A student will need to apply for a Federal Work-Study position through the JMU Joblinks website and be hired for a job for this aid to show as accepted in MyMadison. Once the hiring paperwork is complete the aid will show as accepted.
Student's can find their ID numbers on either their JACard or within their MyMadison account in the Student Center.
