Financial aid offers will be available to students in mid to late June.
Any scholarships that are awarded to a student who also applied for financial aid will be listed on their Financial Aid Offer. A notification will also be sent to the students JMU email address.
We will send an email to your dukes email address when your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information has been processed and your Official Aid Offer is available. The Official Financial Aid link in the Student Center can be used to view your Official Aid Offer when it is available.
The process called Professional Judgment looks at extenuating circumstances that are not reflected on the student’s submitted Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). There is a committee that meets to review a family’s situation on a case by case basis. Madison Scholarships Hub is the application center for all scholarships at JMU. This is located within the student’s MyMadison account. Check back into the Madison Scholarships Hub periodically for any additional scholarships through March 1st.
If you do not receive an Official Aid Offer by mid-July please email fin_aid@jmu.edu. Please keep in mind that if you did not place a social security number in your application with Admissions we will not be able to generate an Official Aid Offer. Updates to social security numbers can be made with the Registrar's Office or by emailing verification@jmu.edu.
JMU does not offer any discounts for multiple students enrolled at our University.
