Our Mission:

The Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC) at James Madison University is part of a statewide network funded through the Virginia Department of Education with funds from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

TTAC has been providing quality professional development and technical assistance for over 30 years in response to local, regional and state needs.

We:

  • Improve educational opportunities and contribute to the success of children and youth with disabilities (birth – 22 years) 
  • Increase the capacity of school personnel, service providers, and families to meet the needs of children and youth with disabilities.
  • Foster the state improvement goals for personnel development that address improving the performance of children and youth with disabilities by enhancing the knowledge, skills, abilities and performance of all personnel who work with them.
