Dr. Eileen Oliver-Eggert obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary/Early Secondary Education from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.  Over the course of 13 years, Dr. Oliver-Eggert worked primarily at the elementary school level serving in the roles of inclusive general education teacher, intervention specialist, and instructional coach.  She completed her Master of Education in Administration & Supervision in 2012 and her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership in 2019 at the University of Virginia.  Dr. Oliver-Eggert has served as an assistant principal and principal at the elementary and middle school levels for 12 years, most recently in Orange County Public Schools.

Currently, Dr. Oliver-Eggert is an Assistant Professor in the Learning, Technology, & Leadership Education Department.  She also serves as the Lead and Point of Contact for the Virginia Assistant Principal Institute (VAAPI) through the External Initiatives Office with the College of Education and is a team member for the Virginia Principal Support Program (VAPSP) as well.  Her research interests include administrator and teacher retention, school improvement, mentoring and coaching school leaders, and inclusive leadership practices.
