Integrating Pop Culture into the Classroom (Fall 2013)

Advances in technology provide today’s learners with immediate access to on-trend news, films, television, music, photography, style, and more.  Instructors can utilize pop culture tropes, themes, and trends to motivate students and enhance the learning environment.  Participants in this self-guided fellowship will consider the role of popular culture in teaching and learning across the disciplines, with focus on how instructors can use on-trend issues to achieve course objectives.
