Biography
Denise has over 21 years of experience at JMU, with a work background in Sponsored Programs, the Centennial Scholars Program, Orientation, the Center for Faculty Innovation, and her current roles as Assistant Director in the Office of Faculty Success and adjunct faculty for COE.
In May 2020, Denise earned her Master's of Education in the Educational Technology program at JMU and has transferred these acquired skills and knowledge into managing the creation of instructional videos, educational content, and marketing material for use with the CFI's website, remote and virtual learning, Canvas, and other areas pertinent to supporting professional development and adjunct faculty support efforts at CFI and the Office of Faculty Success.
Her previous education includes a Bachelor's of Individualized Study from JMU, where she graduated as a magna cum laude and received the Pinnacle Honors and the AVP Student of the Year awards through the Adult Degree Program. Denise's concentration was a blend of Writing, Rhetoric & Technical Communications; Art; Communication Studies and Learning; Computer Information Systems; and Technology & Leadership Education. Denise also has an associate's degree in both Computer Science and Business Administration from Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia.
