Biography

Denise has over 17 years of experience at JMU, with a work background in Sponsored Programs, Orientation, Centennial Scholars Program and in her current position as Program Administrator for the Center for Faculty Innovation.

In May 2020, Denise earned her Master's of Education in the Educational Technology program at JMU and plans to transfer her newly acquired skills and knowledge into creating instructional videos and educational content for use with CFI' website, remote and virtual learning and other areas pertinent to supporting professional development efforts at CFI. 

Her previous education includes a Bachelors of Individualized Study from JMU where she graduated with a magna cum laude through the Adult Degree Program and her concentration was a blend of Writing, Rhetoric & Technical Communications, Art, Communication Studies and Learning, Computer Information Systems and Technology & Leadership Education. Denise also received associate's degrees in both Computer Science and Business Administration form Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia.
