Daniel has worked at the Institute for Creative Inquiry since August 2008. He served as associate director 2015-2021 and now serves as director.

He has a B.S. in Art from Radford University and an M.F.A. in Studio Art from James Madison University.

Daniel's artwork focuses on alternative and adaptive photographic processes and camera making. 

In addition to his work at ICI, Daniel does art-making workshops in the community and teaches Photography at JMU's School of Art, Design and Art History.
