Daniel has worked at the Institute for Visual Studies since August 2008, and has served as the associate director at IVS since August 2015.

He has a B.S. in Art from Radford University and an M.F.A. in Studio Art from James Madison University.

Daniel's artwork focuses on alternative and adaptive photographic processes and camera making. 
In addition to his work at IVS, Daniel does art-making workshops in the community and teaches Photography at JMU's School of Art, Design and Art History.
