Previewing your email to see how the content displays across other devices and sending a preview email are important for quality assurance before sending your email. It's a last opportunity to identify layout issues, formatting errors and unintended content.
Preview Mobile & Desktop Views
In the content editor, you can preview how your email appears on both desktop and mobile devices by switching between views.
To change views, use the view drop-down in the top-right corner:
- Mobile narrows the preview window to simulate a mobile screen. Content may shift or stack to fit the smaller display.
- Desktop restores the preview window to a wider layout for larger screens.
RECOMMENDATION: Before sending your email, review it in both Mobile and Desktop views to identify and resolve any layout or display issues.
Send a Test Email
To send a preview email to yourself or a set of reviewers, follow these steps:
- In the top right corner, click Next to move from the "Content" step to the "Preview and Test" step of creating your email.
- Click the envelope icon on the left.
- Add the email addresses for any individuals you want to receive a preview.
- Select the Sender Profile for your department.
- Click Send Test.
Note: do not be alarmed if you see the following at the bottom of your preview. It will not be visible when it is a "real" send. It will only show the link to Unsubscribe.
