Voice Mail
Activating Your VoiceMail
VoiceMail gives you step-by-step
recorded instructions every time you dial into the system. Once you
are comfortable using VoiceMail, you can proceed without listening
to all the instructions each time. If you ever have any questions
or problems with your VoiceMail, you can call the JMU Telecom
Office at 568.6471 for assistance.
PLEASE NOTE: Check
and clear your messages regularly. In order to continue collecting
messages, your VoiceMail will automatically delete unplayed messages
after 2 weeks, and played messages will be deleted after 1 week.
OPTION 1 - FWD (FORWARD ALL CALLS)
Phone will not ring. Calls go
immediately to VoiceMail.
FROM A SINGLE LINE PHONE:
Dial
then 84411. Hang up.
Calls will go straight into VoiceMail.
TO CANCEL: Lift handset. Dial
. Hang up.
FROM A DTERM PHONE:
Lift handset (this can also be done "hands free")
Depress FWD, then 84411.
When FWD indicator lights, hang up. Your phone is now forwarded.
TO CANCEL: Lift handset. Depress FWD.
OPTION 2 - FWDNA (FORWARD NO ANSWER)
Phone will ring 3-5 times.
If call is unanswered, it goes to VoiceMail.
FROM A SINGLE LINE PHONE:
Dial
then 84411. Hang up.
TO CANCEL: Lift handset. Dial
. Hang up.
FROM A DTERM PHONE:
Lift handset (this can also be done "hands free")
Depress FWDNA, then 84411.
When FWDNA indicator lights, hang up. Your phone is now forwarded.
TO CANCEL: Lift handset. Depress FWDNA.
OPTION 3 - FWDBY (FORWARD BUSY)
If your extension is busy, call
go immediately to VoiceMail.
FROM A SINGLE LINE PHONE:
Dial
then 84411. Hang up.
TO CANCEL: Lift handset. Dial
. Hang up.
FROM A DTERM PHONE:
Lift handset (this can also be done "hands free")
Depress FWDBY, then 84411.
When FWDBY indicator lights, hang up. Your phone is now forwarded.
TO CANCEL: Lift handset. Depress FWDBY.
