Monica Pangle is a proud native of the Shenandoah Valley and a U.S. Army Veteran. As the wife of a farmer and mother of college-aged twins, she embraces her role as an avid soccer mom with enthusiasm and heart. Monica brings a wealth of experience in higher education, having served as the Event and Volunteer Coordinator at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management.

Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to successfully run her own event rental business for many years, deepening her passion for programming and community engagement. These experiences make her feel deeply connected to the mission and people of the JMU VALOR Resource Center.

Monica’s passions are rooted in what brings joy and connection: her family, delicious food, and the beauty of fresh flowers.
