Description
Duties:
If you have a few hours a week to attend community/campus events, explore the surrounding area, and simply be a friend then you might be interested in this position. A JMU family is looking for someone to provide community engagement for their son who has a great sense of humor and is autistic (high functioning). He loves geography, ethnic foods, weather, Anime, furry fandom, dogs, watching YouTube videos, going to movies, and playing Nintendo Switch games. We live two blocks from campus off Mason Street.
Job Requirements:
- An individual who can act as a companion, is comfortable being an ally to the LGBTQIA community and willing to provide fun and engaging opportunities to be involved in peer group social events.
- Consistently provide a few hours/week during the school semesters to facilitate and advocate for him while engaging in a variety of community and campus events.
