Description

Duties:

We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate voice teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent vocal abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality music education to students of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging voice lessons tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student.
  • Teach proper vocal technique, music theory, sight-reading, and ear training.
  • Motivate and inspire students to develop their musical abilities and reach their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and examinations as needed.
  • Develop a positive teacher-student relationship that encourages good habits in singing and in life! 

Qualifications:

  • Tenor/Bass voice type preferred.
  • Pursuing or has received a bachelor's degree in music education, vocal performance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Flexibility, openness, and creativity in the pedagogy provided to the student. - Proficiency in singing at an advanced level.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably with students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Knowledge of music theory, sight-reading, and piano repertoire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching music.
  • Consent to a third party background check.

Schedule:

  • Your schedule is up to you! You tell us which hours you are available consistently each week and we set you up with our system to teach. 

Job Requirements:

Instruct students in a variety of vocal styles. Assist in recital preparation and execution. Be willing to substitute for teachers not able to teach their lessons.

We are located within walking distance of the music building.
