The John C. Wells Planetarium is located in Miller Hall, Room 1103. Miller Hall is located on East Grace Street, 1 block east from the intersection of S. Main Street and East Grace Street, and 1 block south from the intersection of Martin Luther King Way and S. Mason street.

Free Parking for our SATURDAY public planetarium shows is available in parking lots near Miller Hall where the Planetarium is located. Both lots M and B can be accessed from East Grace Street. Visitors may also park in the Grace Street Parking Deck that is located at the end of E. Grace St. Visitors are not required to have permits to park in standard spaces on the weekend, however, parking in metered spaces, specially marked spaces, and violations parking in handicap spaces and in fire lanes will be enforced by JMU Parking.

Groups that visit the planetarium on weekdays when JMU is in session must get a permit by filling out out the permit request form and park in the designated areas for which the permit allow. Permits are to be picked up from the Parking Services Office prior to your group reservation. Please note: John C. Wells Planetarium and its staff do not possess nor distribute parking permitsFor any school groups, community groups, or parents accompanying a group as chaperones, and arriving in personal cars will need to contact the JMU Parking Office to obtain a parking permit to park on campus during the work week. Visitors will need to request and pick parking permits up from the JMU Parking Office prior to your reservation time.
