Teaching & Research:

Professor Wren studies 20th century American Religion, the spiritual-but-not-religious community and the intersections of Eastern philosophy and popular culture among spiritual seekers. She is keenly interested in contemporary religious trends and the expanding role of spirituality as a mode of wellbeing in the United States.  In addition to being a professor, Professor Wren has been a yoga teacher for over 15 years. Her teaching is empathetic in nature and she encourages students to "love the questions themselves," as Rilke suggests.
