Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are specialists who evaluate and treat disorders of human communication and swallowing. SLPs are certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and work in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, clinics, private practice, and long-term care facilities.
The JMU online master’s program in speech-language pathology provides students with exceptional academic and clinical experiences across the SLP scope of practice.
