On the ODS Testing Center computers, Voice Access is the preferred speech-to-text program for dictation. It works well with LockDown Browser and any other text-entry programs.
The voice commands can also be used to work hands-free on a computer. The program is built into Windows 11 but must be enabled prior to launching LockDown Browser. Review the following video for an overview of how the program works.
There are many other free speech-to-text programs that students may use on their own, but for testing on ODS computers, use Voice Access.
