Gretchen Maune is a first-year graduate student in Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication. Gretchen is predominantly interested in the rhetoric of science communication. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and Biology and a minor in Medieval Studies. Her undergraduate studies focused on science and environmental writing, queer literary theory, and theological intersections with literature, drama, and society.
During the week, she volunteers for the Shenandoah Valley Migrant Education Program as an English language tutor. In her free time, she likes cooking, hiking, gaming, and reading.
