Lindsey Shantz joined the Center for Global Engagement in 2025 as the Study Abroad Fiscal Specialist. In this role, she supports the financial operations of study abroad programs and provides guidance for both semester-long and short-term experiences.
Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a journalism focus from Virginia Tech. Before joining CGE, she managed grant financials, compliance, and reporting for Virginia Tech’s Family Nutrition Program, supporting a statewide nutrition education team. She has also worked at James Madison University as an advertising advisor for The Breeze and with TakeThemAMeal.com, an online meal-planning tool.
Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys life on the farm with her family and a variety of animals. She loves growing fresh food, spending time outdoors, and camping with friends. A good book, a cup of coffee or chai latte, and meaningful conversation are among her favorite simple joys. Lindsey lives on Corner Woods Farm with her husband, Tim, their gymnastics-loving daughter, Hope, and their agribusiness-minded son, Clay.
