As a PhD student at the University of Wyoming, I research past climates using lake sediment cores.  I got the opportunity to conduct field work in interior Alaska and in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks in Summer 2026 to collect these cores.  My research will focus on determining past lake levels using sand layers and ground penetration radar to link together past (and future) hydroclimate shifts, temperature histories, and wildfire frequencies.
