Geologist

I'm a geologist with the USGS in the Florence Bascom Geoscience Center, where I run several laboratories that conduct research in particle characterization, geochemistry, and automated imaging and logging of sediment and rock cores.  This work is done in support of several USGS mission areas and programs including geologic mapping, paleoenvironmental studies, and natural hazards research.  I also get to travel to many of our beautiful field areas and research sites to conduct field work with many of my amazing scientist colleagues.
