Now you’re ready to take the Student Event Planner certification test!  Remember these tips:

  • Check the timeline to make sure you can schedule your event.
  • Be sure you understand all of the scheduling processes and policies that may apply to your event and/or spaces.
  • Browse through VirtualEMS to make sure the space you are interested in is available
  • When scheduling, be sure to give all the information about the event including any needed additional times, food information, and any other details that we may need to properly help you with your event.
  • In the Reservation Description section please be as detailed as possible since this information shows on the Calendar to advertise your event.
  • Schedule as early as possible. This allows your organization enough time to plan the event and you enough time to get any approvals required.
  • Read the email sent with your reservation confirmation and follow the instructions.
  • Be sure to get all required forms turned in by the deadline dates.
