My focus as a scholar has always been on experimental and survey research grounded in psychological and sociological theories. Much of my ethics-related research has concerned the Defining Issues Test of ethical judgment and the Kohlbergian paradigm, but recently I have investigated the effects of dark personality factors of psychopathy and narcissism. Dr. Irana Scott (JMU) and I conducted an experiment to test whether the 8KQ would stimulate more principled ethical judgment (i.e., the highest level according to Kohlbergian theory). I would welcome the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary work on ethical judgment, behavior and decision-making.
