Adding a network printer in macOS from JMU Self Service

These instructions are for JMU-owned Macs. Before beginning these steps, make sure you are connected to the JMU network either via network cable or the wireless network.

  1. Open Finder and locate the JMU Self Service app in the Applications folder. Double click to open.
  2. When the JMU Self Service app opens, click Printers in the sidebar on the left.
  3. Use the search box in the upper left corner to narrow down the list of printers. Printers are searchable by name and/or location. Name will include either the ESN or department lease number. Location can be building and/or room number.
  4. When the correct printer is located, click the Install button under the printer name to begin the installation.
  5. When the installation completes the printer should be functional.
