Date and Location

The 2024 Meet the Firm event will be held on Wednesday, September 11th at the Festival Conference Student Center and Ballroom from 5-8 p.m. with setup beginning at 3:30 p.m. Beta Alpha Psi students will be available to assist you with unloading, guiding you to your table location, and setting up. The Festival Conference & Student Center is located on JMU’s East Campus and the exact address for GPS users is:

Parking

JMU’s campus parking permits are now entirely virtual. You must redeem a virtual parking permit at jmu.aimsparking.com and click on “Redeem Event Permit.” You will be prompted to select the event, enter the event code, and enter their vehicle information. Upon confirming the transaction, they will receive an email receipt.

Participants in the event are welcome to pull up in the circle drive in front of Festival in order to check in and unload their vehicles. There will be students on hand to assist you with your needs. As soon as unloading is complete, please move your vehicle to any available parking space across the street from the event site.

Please do NOT park in a fire lane or handicapped spot (even in one of the parking lots) as you will be ticketed. Click on the link below to view the campus map where you will find the Festival Conference Center and the parking lots in the lower right quadrant.

Firm Representatives

For everyone's comfort please respect the number of firm representatives for the sponsorship level selected. Platinum sponsors will receive 2 tables and will be permitted to have 8 firm representatives. Gold sponsors will receive 1 table and are permitted to bring 4 firm representatives. Participants will receive 1 table and are permitted to bring 2 firm representatives.

Students are advised to wear business-casual dress, but your firm representatives may dress any way you deem appropriate.

What is Provided?

Platinum sponsors will receive 2 tables and all other event sponsors will receive 1 table. Each table measures 8'x18" and will come with 2 chairs. Tablecloths will NOT be provided. Snacks and refreshments will be available for firm representatives before, during and after the event in the adjoining Conference Room #2.

Refreshments

There will be a hospitality room for recruiters set up with beverages and light food. Be sure to stop by Conference Room #2 before or during the event for snacks and drinks, and on your way out grab some coffee for the ride home!

Knick-Knacks

If you have any leftover “swag” at the end of the event and would be willing to donate it toward other student outreach events please feel free to leave it in the reception area outside the ballroom.
