- Each fall, the Meet the Firms event offers ACTG, FIN and CIS majors a unique opportunity to network with over 50 firms in a career fair format.
- Accounting students annually support the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. They assisted almost 500 low-income taxpayers in Spring 2024.
- All of the accounting faculty hold professional certifications, either as Certified Public Accountants or Certified Management Accountants.
- Associate Professor Robert 'Bob' Richardson was awarded the 2025 Dr. Otto C. Brenner Memorial Award for outstanding teaching.
- Matthew Reidenbach, assistant professor, earned third place for the 2024 Applied or Integration/Application Publication Award, and second place for the Teaching and Learning Publication Award.
