  • Associate Professor James Irving was selected as the recipient of the Dr. Otto Brenner Memorial Award, 2021 for Outstanding Undergraduate Professor.
  • Professor Nancy Nichols received the 2021 Distinguished Service Award, given annually by the provost to one faculty member per college. 
  • RSM Faculty Scholar Paul Copley received the Enduring Lifetime Contribution Award for 2020-21 from the Government and Nonprofit Section of the American Accounting Association.
  • Each fall, the Meet the Firms event offers ACCT, FIN and CIS majors a unique opportunity to network with firms in a career fair format.  
  • Accounting students support the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.  Volunteer faculty, staff and students assisted over 300 low-income taxpayers in spring 2020. 
  • All of the accounting faculty hold professional certifications, either as Certified Public Accountants or Certified Management Accountants.
