As a kid, Colin loved playing Minecraft. "I wanted to know how things worked and design buildings." That same curiosity made engineering the perfect fit. What he enjoys most about the program is "how tight-knit everyone is," always ready to collaborate and support one another. When he first joined the program, the Engineering Ambassadors helped him connect with classmates through events and activities. Now, as an ambassador himself, Colin is excited to give back and create those same welcoming experiences for new students. He is also the secretary of the JMU Outdoor Club and enjoys hiking.

So far, my favorite project was the hazard-detecting robot project.
