Class of 2027
Minor: Math and Honors
Why did you become an ambassador? Engineering Ambassadors offers a unique way to get involved in the JMU Engineering department. As a member of the outreach subteam, I can make an impact in the local community by sharing what it means to be an engineer.
What is your favorite class or project? I am currently enjoying being a part of the JMU AIAA Design Build Fly capstone team. We are a competition-based capstone team tasked with ideating an electric RC aircraft that can complete various tasks.
Have you had an internship, study abroad, or research experience you'd like to share? Last summer, I served as an Engineering Design Intern with Elizabethtown Gas in Union, New Jersey. I gained valuable first-hand design and field experience before, during, and after multiple natural gas pipeline replacement projects. One of the most valuable and rewarding lessons I learned was seeing the connection between engineering design and field execution.
What is something you love to do outside of class? I play the drums, the piano, and the guitar. That also lets me participate in multiple on- and off-campus groups, including the JMU Pep Band.
