Focus of Lab
The Translational Auditory Research Lab focuses on investigations of the physiology of the human auditory system and clinical applications of diagnostics on auditory system disorders. Current areas of study in the lab include:
- effects of noise exposure on human ears
- objective clinical measures for detecting noise-induced “hidden hearing loss”
- role of wearable technologies in hearing health
In addition to research, the lab provides hands-on learning for both undergraduate and graduate students.
