FREE Work Attire for Students
Hosted and organized by the University Career Center and The Pantry, the JMU Career Closet is a clothing and accessory resource for all JMU students, with a specific focus on work and interview attire. This is a donation-based resource, and students are welcome to choose up to five pieces each semester- free of charge.

Hours: Whenever UCC is open*! Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
(*8-12pm on Fridays in the summer)
We Rely on Donations
We ask that donations be new or gently used; in ready-to-wear condition; with no stains, odors, tears, or missing buttons. All donation items should be cleaned and on hangers, when appropriate. All apparel and footwear sizes are needed!
Appropriate items for donations include:
- Suits
- Dress shirts
- Blouses
- Slacks
- Jackets
- Skirts
- Dress shoes
- Ties
- Belts
- Scarves
JMU Career Closet CANNOT accept the following: Winter Coats, Trench Coats, high-heeled shoes over 3 inches or strappy sandals.
How Can I Donate to the Career Closet?
In Person:
Students, faculty, staff, and local community members can drop off donations year round in the University Career Center (3rd floor of SSC) during our hours.
