PLEASE NOTE: When you place your order online, please allow one day for us to process it. If you want to pick up your plants the first day of the Public Sale on April 24, we suggest shopping at the on site sale on the 24th as we will not be able to fulfill online orders until late in the day of April 24 or on April 25.
You will receive a confirmation from us before you pick your order up.
The new location for the Spring Tree & Plant Sale is 1981 Warwick Drive. This is the location for shopping and order pick up. The spring sale will be hosted at this location due to ongoing construction on University Boulevard. The location for the sale is within the Arboretum's borders on the corner of Neff Avenue and Warwick Drive in Harrisonburg, near Costco.
We will update this page as more information is available about the spring sale. As always, Arboretum Members receive a 10% discount on their Plant & Tree Sale purchases.

How to Purchase Plants (During Active Plant Sales Only)
After you have submitted your request, we will contact you (email) when your order is ready along with a price total (please allow 2-3 business days processing time).
Call 540.568.3194 or visit in-person at the Frances Plecker Education Center to process your payment.
Our office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8am-4pm.
Please note: after the plant sale begins, we will be doing our best to frequently update the inventory list. However, there is a chance we may be out of a plant species prior to you placing your order. We will let you know in your order confirmation if this has happened.

Become a Member of the Arboretum
A donation of $50.00 or more per year qualifies you as a Friend of the Arboretum Member.
Basic Membership benefits include:
- Reciprocal Admissions Program. A current EJCA membership card entitles you to special admission privileges and discounts at 300 gardens throughout North America and the Cayman Islands.These include nine public gardens in Virginia alone, among them: the Norfolk Botanical Garden; Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and Maymont, both in Richmond; Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria; and Glen Burnie Gardens at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley in Winchester. - 10% Discount on EJC Arboretum Plant Purchases Plant sales are held in April, May and Sept and include perennials, shrubs, trees and bulbs. From late April through October plants are also available for sale weekdays at the EJCA’s Frances Plecker Education Center and appointments to shop in the nursery are available (minimum $50 purchase).
- Early access to plant sales- Shop in person or online at the Spring and Fall Plant Sale one day before the general public.
