Our advisory board meets quarterly. We are grateful to these volunteers who, alongside our staff, lend their expertise and enthusiasm to helping guide our plans and promote our work. Victor Escamilla '27 is a former Arboretum education intern and a student in the College of Business. 

William Flint '04 is JMU Biological Sciences Lab Coordinator. 

Amy Goodall is Professor Emeritus, School of Integrated Sciences at JMU, with specialties in biodiversity and conservation. 

Paula Green '03, '15 is ILL Borrowing & Distance Learning Resource Coordinator at JMU Libraries. 

Jeremy Harold is City of Harrisonburg Public Works Greenspace Manager.

Christie-Joy B. Hartman is the executive director of JMU's Institute for the Stewardship of the Natural World, which coordinates environmental stewardship across divisions of the University. 

Frankie Lucas is Assistant Director of Environmental Services in JMU Facilities Management. 

Lauren Pearce is Director of Research Development in the Division of Research, Economic Development, and Innovation at JMU. 

Ehren Moler is an assistant professor in JMU's Integrated Science and Technology with over 10 years of research and teaching in the field of forest ecology. 

Conley McMullen '80 is the Director of the Norlyn L. Bodkin Herbarium at JMU and has been a professor of biology at JMU since 1997. 

Gary Shears '84 is the Executive Director of JMU's Facilities Management and Construction. 

Craig Short '14 is Associate Vice President for Business Services at JMU. 

Kyle Snow '06, '14 is SIS Lab coordinator for JMU's College of Integrated Science and Technology. 

Keala Timko is a long-time Arboretum volunteer and a Virginia Master Gardener.

Tim Thomas is Professor in JMU's College of Education with particular interests in place-based learning and environmental education. 

Charles Wymer '72 is a retired Shenandoah Valley educator and long-time volunteer at the Arboretum.
