The first-ever all together one community gathering was held on a perfect spring day during the spring semester of 2000. Students of the National Leadership Honors Society, Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), conceived and arranged the event during which five members of the Madison community were recognized for embodying the all together one spirit. The five received a pin bearing the all together one logo, as well as a paving stone engraved with their names to be placed in the patio on the Commons. ODK discovered the five recipients by informally polling students, faculty, and staff. Students then compiled stories about each person that can be found on the main page of this site.

This year's All Together One Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at 12:00 pm noon at the All Together One Circle in the Warner Commons, weather permitting (inclement weather location in the Union Ballroom). Winners will be announced several days in advance of the ceremony. The entire JMU Community is invited to attend.
