The spirit at James Madison University is very special. This special spirit is the unique closeness that binds Madison community members with one another. Since former President Linwood H. HISTORY

The all together one community gathering was created in 2000 by members of the JMU Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. Each spring, student members host this special event inviting students/faculty/and staff members of the JMU Community to nominate members of the community who exemplify this special spirit of all together one. Awards consist of a tapping ceremony, a pin, a stone placed in the All Together One Circle, and an inspirational story read about each new award recipient. All are invited.

The students of Omicron Delta Kappa, believe that students develop best when they are engaged as members of the community. They host this celebration to engage in the community, to discover people they will thank – those who make JMU a community worth belonging to and celebrating. From relating the stories about JMU people who embody the all together one spirit, ODK believes that the essence of the theme all together one makes a powerful impact on JMU.
