Publishing and Promoting Feminist Scholarship. Spring 2019

Group will meet on Fridays; 2/8, 2/22, 3/15, 3/29, 4/12, and 4/19 from 12:30 PM-3:30 PM in SSC.

Do you consider your scholarship feminist or would you like to work toward a feminist scholarship project with supportive colleagues? Are you interested in collaborating with colleagues on how to establish, maintain, and promote your scholarship in a semi-structured writing community?

Join JMU colleagues in a faculty community dedicated to sustaining feminist scholarship both on-campus and in our own research projects. Participants will have the opportunity to write together weekly in an semi-structured accountability group and will have bi-weekly discussions about how to how to support and promote feminist scholarship on campus and in our disciplines, while also getting feedback on their writing projects and progress.

Madison Fellowship: Sustaining Feminist Scholarship at JMU. Fall 2018

Group will meet on Fridays; Sep 21, Sep 28, Oct 5, Oct 12, Oct 19, Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 30 and Dec 7 from 12:30-3:30 PM.

Location: Student Success Center and Madison Union.

Join JMU colleagues in a faculty community dedicated to sustaining feminist scholarship both on-campus and in our own research projects. Participants will have the opportunity to write together weekly in an unstructured accountability group and will meet monthly to discuss scholarship progress and the following questions: “What makes scholarship feminist? How do we sustain feminist scholarship at JMU?”

Faculty participants will make progress toward these scholarship outcomes:
  • Enhancing scholarly productivity; and
  • Forming collaborative scholarly projects with students, faculty, & staff at JMU and other institutions.
