Do you consider your scholarship feminist or would you like to work toward a feminist scholarship project with interested colleagues? Are you interested in exploring questions about how JMU can support a feminist scholarship community?

Join JMU colleagues in a faculty community dedicated to sustaining feminist scholarship both on-campus and in our own research projects. Participants will have the opportunity to write together weekly in an unstructured accountability group and will meet monthly to discuss scholarship progress and the following questions: “What makes scholarship feminist? How do we sustain feminist scholarship at JMU?”

Facilitator: Becca Howes-Mischel, Ph.D., Anthropology

Faculty participants will make progress toward these program outcomes:
  • Advancing a feminist scholarship project;
  • Connecting to a community of peers to support your scholarship; and
  • Identifying ways to sustain a feminist scholarship community.
Faculty participants will make progress toward these scholarship outcomes:
  • Enhancing scholarly productivity; and
  • Forming collaborative scholarly projects with students, faculty, & staff at JMU and other institutions.
