Dlawar Kareem 

Graduate Assistant

 

 Dlawar Kareem is the Graduate Assistant in Talent Development. He is in his second year in Adult Education and Human Resource Development (AHRD) at JMU. Because of his background and his interest in instructional design and online learning, he will focus on adapting training so it can be delivered virtually, as well as developing workshop content. He used Articulate Storyline 360 to create eLearning courses during his first semester in AHRD and during his internship at RAINN. As part of his school program, he has designed the best practices of online learning for the JMU Adult Degree Program (ADP). Before coming to JMU to study, he was a program manager with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Iraq, where he implemented projects on livelihood, peaceful coexistence, and post-traumatic projects for the Syrian refugees and Iraqi Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
