Carissa is a senior graphic designer at SACM. She is majoring in Graphic Design through the School of Art, Design and Art History. Carissa’s journey into graphic design started in high school when she started painting murals around the University of Virginia Health Breast Care Center and Children’s Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. In total, she has painted five murals. Outside of school, Carissa values her relationships with friends and enjoys her experiences traveling. She caught the travel-bug on a trip to Iceland with friends and welcomes any future opportunities to explore the neighboring areas of the Netherlands. Carissa spent the summer of 2025 in Amsterdam on a study abroad trip where her design style and ambitions became shaped by the simple and unique designs she witnessed. She is interested in motion-graphics and effects and is looking forward to finalizing her portfolio before graduation.
