Piano Day 2026

The James Madison University School of Music proudly hosts its annual JMU Piano Day for student pianists ages 6-17, featuring a day of masterclasses, workshops, and performance opportunities with the JMU piano faculty. This exciting event takes place at the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts, offering a chance to engage with both seasoned professionals and fellow pianists.
ALL piano students ages 6-17 are invited to participate in the 2026 JMU Piano Day! From 11:15am-1:30pm, workshops and a round table "Ask Anything" will be available to participants ages 12-17. From 12:30pm-1:30pm, ages 6-11 will participate in Piano Day "Junior." All times are Eastern Standard Time.
This workshop is FREE OF CHARGE and will be held at JMU in person! Lunch will not be provided. Please bring your own lunch, or use the JMU Dining Hall before or after the event.
