The University Writing Center is located on the first floor of JMU's Student Success Center (rooms 1100-1167).

• If you enter from the South Mason Street side of the Student Success Center, take your first right down the wide hallway toward the glass- front doorway labeled Learning Centers.
• Enter the Learning Centers (there is a push-to-open activation switch for the door) and meet the friendly person at our front desk.
• Welcome!
  • If you've already scheduled your UWC session (or if there's no one at the front desk), continue forward to enter our waiting area. Your consultant will be with you soon.
  • If you're hoping for a walk-in session, you can check our availability using the UWC's online scheduler, available through the "Make an Appointment" link in our main navigation bar.

• Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
• Friday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Sunday: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m
